I
have a love of all things natural, the breeze whispering
through the leaves, the ripple of water over pebbles in
a winding stream, the sounds of birds calling. I use these
things as inspiration for my artwork, both in painting and
for illustrating childrens books. Recreating beauty can
be a cathartic experience but I also have a darker appreciation.
The stillness of the night, the mystery of darkness and
what lurks, the intrigue of shadows cast by the surroundings.
Are they real?
The contrast of darkness and light, as an artist, has always
fascinated me and I try to portray it in my work.
